This letter is just received by the MMTA and it is confirming that PERDA No.16 Tahun 2002 should be implemented unchanged to improve management of tourism in Mentawai and to improve conditions for resort companies in the area. A new tax will be approved on the 22nd of August 2007 and applied to all tourism companies in the area. (Companies agree to pay Boat tax) This advice is for all member boat owners and agents.
